July 19: Weave Toronto Launch (A Fractal Campus project) [link] ***
Fractal is a community in New York that does a mix of co-living and nearby-living and projects and classes. I was there on Sunday, giving a talk - It’s a cool and interesting place! The folks at Fractal have a project to get people in other cities to learn from their experiences to start similarly-structured communities. I have all sorts of complicated feelings about this!
Weave Toronto is a fractal-inspired community being started in Toronto, that comes out of the Fractal Campus program. They’ve been making lots of cool progress in the past weeks! This is their launch event.
(My own dream is to start a “Fractal Misha”, which is just stuff near my house that I like, and get people to move nearby- a short walk from Danu Social House and Birdhaus, which would be hubs)
July 19-20: BIG on Bloor 2025: Pedestrian Takeover [link]
Street festival!
July 20: 1920s Garden Party at Spadina Museum [link]
Toronto is probably better now than it was 100 years ago. Also - did you know the 1920s were a hundred years ago? It’s math!
July 20: Salem Burns' Kinky Night Market & Munch [link]
Meet kinky people, buy kinky stuff. At Birdhaus.
July 22: Curiosity Café: Anger [link]
Bi-weekly philosophy discussion event. Usually sells out. This one is about Anger.
July 22 & 29: Authentic Relating - The Power of Connection [link]
I love this stuff. It's a series of weirdo games/exercises to get people connecting in ways that mess with some of the boundaries that usually exist. Not a cult. Really fun!! Toronto really really needs more of this.
July 23: Hitchdeck: Pitch your single friend [link]
“Pitch your single friend to a room full of strangers.” They claim this is "less weird than speed dating", which is a low bar, and also arguably false.
July 25: Other People's Treasure Bingo [link]
What could be more human than putting yourself inside a slow random number generator, lured by the promise of getting stuff that someone else wanted to throw away.
July 25: GenJam: Make an AI Film in 3 Hrs! [link]

July 27: The Body of Loneliness: Part 1 [link]
Abi and Joyce explore your loneliness with you.
July 27: Menagerie Market: Pop-Up at Kensington Market [link]
Maybe you can do your own pop-up market inside Menagerie market!

About Misha
Hi, I’m Misha! Nice to meet you. I make this newsletter. We started this in September. Around the same time, I also started my own substack. So far the most popular post is one called Stop Pretending Toronto is More Than It Is, which you might like. Or read more about Toronto Event Generator.
I run and host the Trampoline Hall Lecture Series. I co-host All About Intimacy, a conversation event about love, sex, and friendship, and sometimes host a live-band karaoke night at Jean Darlene Piano Room.
In my working life, I help companies foster better human connection - I help teams get better at talking about tough issues, and help organizations run better conferences, workshops, and offsites.
You can find me on twitter, instagram, substack… See you at the next event!
Thanks for including Little Deaths!
Toronto Photowalks' "Riverdale Stumble" was in June but our regular schedule is the 1st and 3rd Saturday every month, so check our website for those details - https://torontophotowalks.ca/
